Dear friends of SCWCA,

I am reaching out to all of our members to consider joining our board of directors. Many of our board members have been serving for several years and it is time to have new voices and fresh ideas. We are a very active group that continues to meet through Zoom on the second Thursday of the month at 5:00 pm. We discuss upcoming programs, exhibitions and ways we can continue to create community. I want to encourage you to join. The commitment is only for 2 years. We are not asking you to take a specific position, just to participate in our discussions, share your ideas and then we can go from there depending on your interest and desires.

As a non-profit organization we are required to have bi-annual elections to vote for new members and/or reinstate our current board of directors. We will be sending out ballots in the next few weeks, so please help us in fulfilling our obligations. SCWCA continues to be a vital and thriving  part of the art community and it is only with earnest commitments that we can continue to do this. I want to thank you for your consideration and continued support.
Please join us in this month's board meeting this Thursday at 5:00 pm on Zoom.

Best in art and life,
Shelley Heffler
SCWCA  President

SCWCA's  Position on Equality
SCWCA’s mission is to create community through art, education, and social activism. Hate and bigotry have no place in our organization. We condemn these racist, violent acts in the strongest possible terms and encourage our members to do so as well. We stand in solidarity with all those who suffer from fear, harassment, and violence.

Part of our mission as an organization is activism, so we stand with the Black Lives Matter and Stop AAPI Hate movements because we believe that all humans are connected.
