             Gina Newman                                                               Natalie Conner

Meet Gina Newman, a pediatric Nurse Practitioner on the Eastside. In
2021, she joined Jewish Federation’s Courageous Leadership Incubator
initiative that partnered with Shalom Hartman Institute.

Gina shares: “I have always been interested in honing my leadership skills,
and more importantly, I was eager to give back to the Seattle Jewish
community. I was thrilled to be matched with Seattle Hadassah, which
combines my passion for healthcare, and of course, my support for the
State of Israel. My mom (Pat Newman) has always been involved with
Hadassah.” Now Gina has shown us her own skill of getting people involved.

As Gina’s leadership program ended, it was a pleasure to connect her
with another nurse, Natalie Conner, currently at UWMC- Montlake.  Natalie
recently stepped up to lead the formation of a Health Professionals Council
—a BIG deal—for Hadassah's PNW Region. For Hadassah members who
are nurses or allied health professionals, the Council is a great local perk.

Natalie explains: “It's been many years since my last leadership role within
Hadassah. I'm certified as a Public Health CNS and hope to use my
consulting skills to grow the Council and develop programming of interest. I
don't get to use those skills in my everyday staff nurse job! Oh and yes,
Gina said she’s excited to join and help out. Yay!”

We cannot sit by in the face of the tragic ongoing scourge of shootings plaguing our schools, workplaces, houses of worship and communities nationwide. It’s past time for our elected officials to come together and enact substantive, comprehensive gun-safety legislation to protect the health and well-being of all people in the United States.

It will take place November 14-17, 2022 (provided health regulations allow). This is our first convention in Israel in a decade and our best lineup yet! Share your Hadassah pride and purpose and leave inspired to continue your support for Hadassah and for Israel. Every Region is selecting a “Convention Ambassador,” who will be the Region’s liaison to the National Convention team. They will work with the Region President to determine if the Region will reserve a block of rooms at one of 10 possible hotels and be kept up to date about all the plans having to do with our 100th National Convention!
