With CLC members in Westchester
Some CLC members of Westchester have been meeting monthly with Sr. Carol De Angelo trying to discern how to more effectively encourage people to engage in social/ecological justice issues. We consider this Vatican initiative to be an important topic to learn more about as a community. We would like to extend an invitation to all CLC members, especially since it will be a Zoom meeting with no geographic limitation.
Sr Carol will speak on the Laudato Si’ Action Platform that the Vatican will announce on May 24th, at the conclusion of Laudato Si’ Week. It is a seven year plan for all sectors of the Catholic Church to make a public commitment to concrete goals and measurable objectives over a seven year journey towards ecological conversion and a living out of an integral ecology perspective that sees everything as connected and related. Sr Carol is director of Office of Peace, Justice and Integrity of Creation of Sisters of Charity of New York.
