This year, we invite you to join us in person as we light up Rotary Hospice with love and officially launch the 4th annual Lights of Love holiday campaign!

Light and love are very special sentiments to us at Rotary Hospice.

When a resident and their family leave the building, staff and volunteers form an Honour Guard in the front lobby. This is our way to pay final respects to those who have entrusted their care to the Rotary Hospice team. As a remembrance, a loved one is invited to place a candle on the table in the entrance lobby. It remains lit for 24 hours in observance.

Your Light of Love gift ensures those who call Rotary Hospice their final home are cared for with comfort and love. AT NO COST. Because of you. Thanks to you.

To those of you who have already dedicated a Light of Love, thank you. Messages of love can be viewed here.

This year we are privileged to have three Illuminating Sponsors, each of whom with their own personal reason for wanting to light up Rotary Hospice with love: Sue & Al Wakelin; Lynn & Bill Whittemore; and, Derek & Ashley of Soup Surreal. The generosity of these sponsors offsets the cost of illuminating Rotary Hospice.

Derek and Ashley, owners of Soup Surreal, had never really experienced Rotary Hospice until they visited their dear friend Sam in his final days at Rotary Hospice.

"We were blown away by how the hospice feels so much like home. There's couches, it's comfortable, it felt like we were going to his home to have a visit. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere made us feel that anyone who knows they're passing deserves to have this kind of a space for themselves and their family, whatever their journey is."

For Ashley, who also experienced Rotary Hospice with another family member recently, supporting Rotary Hospice and the Lights of Love campaign has taken on even more meaning, "hospice allows for more connection and love."
Joining us Wednesday evening?

Gather under the Pavilion on the Greenwood Court property, across from the Rotary Hospice parking lot, and join us for hot cocoa, music, messages of thanks and love, and help us countdown to the lighting of Rotary Hospice. The evening will conclude with a candlelight walk to the entrance of the hospice for a moment of reflection to acknowledge those honoured and remembered with a light of love dedication.

Please keep in mind -- this is an outdoor event so dress accordingly! We also kindly ask that you park on Greenwood Drive or Norwood Court and make your way on foot to the Pavilion, across from Rotary Hospice.
