Let's Hike for Hospice!
The money raised from this event supports end-of-life care for people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as supporting their loved ones. Last year’s event raised over $84,000 thanks to the participation of almost 200 hikers, dedicated sponsors, and countless donors. With a goal of $95,000 this year, Rotary Hospice encourages the community to get involved.
“Our 6th Annual Hike for Hospice was a heartwarming and resounding success despite the change to a virtual format,” says Dennis Young, Board Chair of the Stratford Perth Hospice Foundation. “In fact, this format allows ‘hikers’ to participate in a way that suits them best and is in keeping with government guidelines. It could be a walk with their dog; a hike with their family on a nature trail; or hitting their treadmill at home, at their own pace. Most of all, it’s a day to do something for yourself while also supporting your community.”
For the third consecutive year, Ontario Home Health returns as the Trailblazing sponsor of Hike for Hospice. Other returning sponsors include Tradition Mutual (Gold sponsors), Woodcock Brothers (Silver sponsors), and McCutchen & Pearce Professional Corporation (Bronze sponsors).
