Monthly Bulletin

September 2018
Attendance Awareness Month
September is Attendance Awareness Month. We encourage all our students to be on time; everyday!

  • Chronic absenteeism is the leading indicator that a student will drop out of high school.
  • Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in a school year. That’s just two days a month.
  • The academic impact of missing two or more days of school per month is the same whether the absences are excused or unexcused.
  • When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.
  • Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year.

Please help us by ensuring your child is at school everyday well rested and ready to learn.

Free/Reduced Meal Application Deadline

Deadline for new Free/Reduced meal applications is September 13.  If you have not submitted a new application by this deadline, benefits for free/reduced meals will be discontinued.  New applications must be submitted every year to renew benefits.

You can apply online or download application and turn in to cafeteria personel.
