Free School Meals update
Dear Parent/Carer,
I hope you and your families are all well. I would like to take this opportunity to update you all on the current situation with the Free School Meals vouchers. I appreciate some individuals have had difficulty accessing the system which we are aware is under high demand due to the number of families it is supporting.
Following recent communications from the Department of Education we have been advised that schools and families across the country have now converted over £20 million worth of vouchers into supermarket gift cards.
By now you should have been sent a redemption eCode from the Edenred system, within the e-mail will be instructions on how to use this eCode to create an eGift card, which you should then receive within 3 hours. We have now placed 2 orders with Edenred, if you have not received your eCodes, please check your ‘junk’ folders before contacting Edenred at
We have also been advised that Aldi has joined the list of supermarkets that will redeem vouchers secured through the free school meals national voucher scheme. Supermarkets available also include Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, M&S, Asda and Morrisons. You should be able to order vouchers for Aldi through Edenred from the week commencing 27 April.
Thankyou for your support during these difficult times.
Yours faithfully
Mr L Le Marquand
