Dear Year 9 students,
I hope that you and your families have been keeping safe and well in these strange times.
As you are aware, all subjects are now using Google Classroom for your home learning. I have had the opportunity to have a look at the brilliant work which is being set by your teachers and have seen that many of you have responded really well to this change in how you learn currently.
However, some of you may now feel that you are behind on the work and, therefore, don’t want to log on. Your teachers don’t want you to avoid logging on to Google Classroom because you are behind. Whatever you haven’t done so far, we can deal with in the future - what matters now is that, for the final seven weeks of this academic year, you get involved. We want every single one of you logged on and having a go, including returning work to your teachers so that they can see how you are getting on and how they can support you.
If you are not sure how to get logged on, or if you are unsure of where to start, your parents have just received a letter explaining the different types of support that are available from the College. If you need some specific support with a subject or just some general support to help you to get motivated and organised, the help is here for you, please just ask your parents to let us know.
When we return to College, I look forward to welcoming you as Year 10 students and I hope that you will make the most of all the opportunities you will have.
In the meantime, if there is anything you need, or if you have any questions, remember that we are here to help you.
