GCSE English Literature Result 2020 (Year 10)
Dear Parent/Carer,

As your child prepares to receive their result tomorrow, I am sure you are aware of the changes which the government have announced this week regarding the awarding of GCSEs and other qualifications. However, I wanted to make sure you are up to date with the latest developments and what these will mean for your child’s result.

On Monday 17 August, Ofqual announced that, “students will be awarded their centre assessment for this summer - that is, the grade their school or college estimated was the grade they would most likely have achieved in their exam - or the moderated grade, whichever is higher.”

When your child receives their results on Thursday 20 August, their result will reflect this process.
Results Day
As per the letter sent on 8 July, students will receive their results via the post on Thursday 20 August by 1pm. If your child has not received their results by this time, please contact

English Lessons
When your child returns to College in September, they continue their study of English Language during their timetabled English lessons until their examinations in summer 2021.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Kate Williams
