Vermaire Update 5

From Marcia's Facebook post Sept. 29, 2021, 8:30 am

Yesterday the speech therapist, who had not seen Paul since last Wednesday was “blown away“ by his progress!  She’s amazing, but she can’t take credit for all the talking and texting with his brother and sisters and wife and son and friends and other family that he’s done in the last four days 🙂.

And Claire gets the most valuable wife, mother, care coordinator, patient advocate, hostess, planner, packer, car seller and roll with the punches award. Trusting God for his best has been a pretty huge call through all of this. (So many of you know what this is about.)

So, Thursday they have spots on a C-17 headed to Walter Reed in Bethesda, Maryland (Washington, DC). Lots of unknowns and lots of known challenges!  Now we are all fueled by stories we tell about the last 2 1/2 weeks—great care, kindness, generosity, healing, small and big miracles. Thank you all for praying!!

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His Holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your Holy name

The sun comes up
It’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass
And whatever lies before me
Let me be singing
When the evening comes
"Ask me and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession."  Psalms 2:8 (NIV)
