CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
DIRECTOR, MANITOBA CHILDREN’S MUSEUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Children’s Museum Board of Directors is pleased to call for nominations to the Board of Directors for the term commencing June 2022.
The Director position is a volunteer role on the Board of Directors. The volunteer Board of Directors, on behalf of all Manitobans and visitors to our province, provides overall leadership, policy development, and strategic direction to the Manitoba Children’s Museum using a Policy Governance© model.
Nominees should have demonstrated leadership at the local or national level, possess demonstrated excellence in their own field of expertise, and be enthusiastic about volunteering their support to the Manitoba Children’s Museum and its future. The Board Nominating Committee is seeking individuals with priority given to the following skills and expertise:
- Lawyer
- Early Years Educator
- Arts, Culture, and/or Heritage Professional
- Strategic-minded individuals with the ability to think big picture and long-term
- Ability to make a contribution of time and energy through active participation on the Board and Board Committee(s)
The Board is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and considers nominations from under-represented groups an asset.
