MINI NUIT BLANCHE

Re:Imagine arts and culture for kids at Mini Nuit Blanche – our free Culture Days programming at the Children’s Museum!

The Forks will be bursting with fun and energy for Nuit Blanche on Friday, October 1 with the RIOT Cycle at Night event. Your evening doesn’t need to start there though, as our doors will be open from 5:00PM to 7:00PM for FREE(*) museum admission and Mini Nuit Blanche programming! Put on your creative helmets and experiment with playful patterns and colours as we create paper bicycles, unicycles, and scooters to fill a collaborative cityscape.

(*) Please Note: Current public health restrictions apply to all museum visitors. Please review our COVID-19 Guidelines here prior to your visit. The Children's Museum reserves the right to control entry in accordance with occupancy and general admission policies. Free admission will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and capacity will be limited to promote physical distancing as per current public health guidelines.

EXPLORE-ABILITIES EVENING

OCTOBER 23, 2021

Part of our Explore-Abilities Access Program, join us on Saturday, October 23 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM for an Explore-Abilities Evening -  a sensory friendly museum experience designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to have fun and enjoy interactive, hands-on learning in a safe and accessible facility!

For this extra special Explore-Abilities Evening, we invite you and your little one(s) to wear your Halloween costumes during your visit.

Please contact our Sales & Bookings Coordinator at 204.924.4005 or complete the online registration request form here to register for this event. Please register early, as events can fill quickly.

Please Note: If you or your child's costume includes a toy weapon or a mask, we respectfully ask that you leave those items at home. Current public health restrictions apply to all museum visitors. Please review our COVID-19 Guidelines here prior to your visit.

HALLOWEEN HIJINKS

OCTOBER 30 & 31, 2021

We invite you to celebrate Halloween weekend with us at the Children's Museum! On October 30 & 31, make your visit extra special by exploring the museum in costume, and join us between 11:00AM to 3:00PM to create a spooktacular Halloween craft.

Continue being one of our Partners In Play with your rental of our Paper, Trees & Me school program kit! Available in English and French, this beloved program allows students to explore the paper making process from start to finish. Each kit is packed with high-quality materials, easy-to-follow instructions, and everything you need to bring this program to life with your students.

Dream it, plan it, design it, and build it! Create a masterpiece on wheels and race your creations down our inclined plane as students explore position and motion! Ask to be added to our waiting list for bookings when this program becomes available.

The Children's Museum is now RE-OPEN to the public four days a week as follows:

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
9:30AM - 4:30PM

MEMBERSHIP EXTENSIONS

We have automatically extended all active memberships to account for the length of our temporary closure(s) due to COVID-19, ensuring every family can take advantage of their full year of play.

We are now accepting booking requests for group visits, school programs, birthday parties, and facility rentals on a case-by-case basis – taking into consideration such factors as group numbers, visit dates and times, and other booking details in order to effectively manage the number of visitors in our facility at one time.
