Celebrating our Wonderful Volunteers!
Last week was National Volunteers Week and we joined the national smiley 'wave of appreciation' to give thanks to and celebrate the contributions of our many wonderful volunteers and the amazing work they do.

Volunteers providing services to our environment are the most important asset of this organisation. Amongst our volunteers are amazing models of loyalty, trust, dedication, selflessness, respect, non-judgement. They care for the land, care for people, and share the most important gift of all – the gift of time.

Service to the Community and the Environment is the foundation of each Trillion Trees program and activity.

Throughout our 41 year history our dedicated volunteers have been there supporting us in every part of our organisation. Whether it is working in our nursery, managing our administration, maintaining our Hazelmere site, planting trees or maintaining our planting sites as part of our revegetation programs, our volunteers have helped us as an organisation to grow and to thrive.

Thank you to everyone that has and continues to so generously give of their effort, expertise, and time.

Welcome to The Organic Collective

This month we welcome our newest supporter The Organic Collective.

The Organic Collective share our commitment to nurturing the natural environment and have a long history with Trillion Trees supporting our Wheatbelt tree planting programs.

Their seasonally mixed boxes of certified organic fresh fruit, vegetables and groceries have always been popular - now every order will help plant a tree.

Already in just a few weeks they've helped plant 275 TREES!. How awesome is that!  A big welcome and sincere thanks to The Organic Collective community.

Warm congratulations to Kat Hudson from our Revegetation team on the arrival of Orla, weighing in at 8lb 2oz. In addition to Kat's hard work helping organise and manage some of our tree planting days and site monitoring, she's also a talented photographer with a number of her photos featured in this year's annual report (including the front cover) and our social media.

A world audit of trees in 2015 shows there are just 3 trillion trees left in the world - that's half what there used to be.

We, as a global community, need a new tree planting target - to plant 1 trillion trees! If each person in the world plants 140 trees, we will achieve this!
