Happy March! February flew by and I never got a chance to get the newsletter out. So here we are for March and we've got some news.

The biggest one is that the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival menus are out. Plus we went to a character dining meal, found a new favorite dish, and there's a new donut spot!

Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival begins this week!

My favorite festival is running for a record length of time this year. From March 3rd until July 5th we'll be able to enjoy tons of outdoor kitchens, beautiful topiaries, and a little live entertainment!

The menus released for the festival the other day and we have 11 confirmed plant-based options! There appear to be a few others we may be able to enjoy with a slight modification, but I am just so excited to have so many choices.

Some new options include a House-made Italian Sausage and Peppers Poutine, Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib with Cilantro-Lime Rice, Danmuji Slaw, and Kimchee Mayo, and a Sope de Chorizo with Plant-based Chorizo on Fried Corn Dough with Black Beans and Avocado Mousse. Those are just a portion of the new options this year, plus several returning ones!

We went to a Socially-Distanced Character Meal

Disney has slowly been rolling out the character dining again, but all of them are not back yet. We recently went to Topolino's Terrace to try their character breakfast and really enjoyed how they're doing it.

At Topolino they had specific spots that the characters would stand. From there they basically rotate in a circle to interact with each table. You can get some distanced selfies from here or just enjoy a little wave. But I personally enjoyed this experience as I was able to continue eating and also not feel pressured to interact.

We have a new favorite Disney meal!

The other week we went to The Wave... of American Flavors at Disney's Contemporary Resort. We have been wanting to try their lunch/dinner option for a while and are now kicking ourselves for sleeping on this for so long!

The Cauliflower Tacos here are considered an appetizer but can absolutely be an entree. These tacos were one of the most flavor packed tacos I've ever had, and one of the most flavorful dishes I've had at Walt Disney World.

The tacos come filled with crispy cauliflower, a slaw, salsa verde, and avocado. They are absolutely worth trying, and if you can't get a reservation you can order them on the Mobile Ordering section of the My Disney Experience App at The Wave To-Go.

Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew finally opened at Disney Springs!

This opened back in January, and we were so excited to try it. They have one vegan donut on their menu, the Purple Glazed Ube. They have a pretty small menu so the fact that one is vegan is great.

The donut is perfectly soft and has a great glaze to it. You can get it both as a normal donut or as a donut holes. They also have a specialty drink version that is the Purple Reign Donut and Coffee. This spot is worth checking out on your next trip to Disney Springs!

Ever wondered what Universal Orlando Resort has?

We review those too! Our friends at Universal Orlando Vegans have a great list of what is vegan and where. So we always recommend their page for that. But we also review the things we eat from there on our site. You can find those reviews (both written or vlogged) here.
