Our Speaker on Monday, November 9
Chris Holbert
Kiwanis Club of Brooklyn, MI
Chris Holbert served as the president of the Kiwanis club of Brooklyn, MI from 2017-19.  During her tenure as president, the Brooklyn club increased membership by ~12 members each year.  How you ask?  Chris lead the club through an analysis of all their projects and determined projects they would continue and projects they would sunset.  As a marketing professsional, Chris talked about getting the club's name out in the public was critical.  Did you know that it takes someone hearing your name 7 times before it is recognized?  Chris talked about how the club introduced library book boxes and the flag project and involved their community members.  They reached  out to "empty nesters" to join the club.  They currently work with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Robotics club and Colombia Bowlers to manage the flag project.  They have a group of volunteers who made masks and now are making pillow cases for foster care.  Chris emphasized how important it is to make sure that all members are involved.  Chris is available to meet with any members of our club who would like to learn more.
