Have you ever heard the saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? It implies that there is no absolute standard for beauty and that it is valid for each person, beholding the object in question, to come to her conclusion about its nature.
This approach to thinking finds wide acceptance in a world where several "I"s vie for relevance. However, as daughters of the Most High God, we press for one thing: to have our "I"s swallowed in Christ. (Galatians 2: 19 - 21).
We submit our thoughts and ways to His higher thoughts and ways. (Isaiah 55: 8 - 9). We seek to live in agreement with the truth that He alone is God by allowing Him to interpret all the facts of our lives. We weigh the "wise" sayings of this world against the weight of His Word in all things. (Proverbs 3: 5 - 7 and 1 Corinthians 3: 18 - 20).
For June and July, we will feature the testimonies and share the counsel of Be-Held Women of various walks of life across the major categories of living, i.e. spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, social, vocational, and financial. In keeping with our Biblical Literacy Principle for June and July, the diverse testimonies and counsel supplied will be tested against the weight of God's Word.
If you have a testimony our counsel you'd like to share with our community, we welcome you to check out the topics for the 2022 - 2023 ministry year and submit your writing HERE.
Finally, we'd love to hear some of the insights you gleaned from meditating on Numbers 12. We had hoped to record a podcast episode at the close of last month. But, God had something far greater in mind. We are hopeful that the divinely orchestrated "detour" will yield fruit for the Kingdom in years to come. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to learning from you!
