Read: Numbers 12, NLT

We're mixing it up so that we can walk more closely with you as you READ this month's focus Scripture.

Last week we shared a resource, "Reading", which featured key understandings about the practice of reading and guiding questions to support you in doing it well with Scripture. If last week's email got lost, you can download the resource at https://www.earthbasic.org/be-held-woman. This week's mini-Bible study tutorial uses the questions it contains to help us READ Numbers 12, NLT.

Follow the instructions below to receive support in READING this month's focus Scripture:

1. Read the Scripture aloud once. Then, read it again quietly, jotting what you notice and wonder. You can download Numbers 12, NLT (PDF) and type it directly into the document or use your own Bible.
 
2. Download Numbers 12 NLT, Reading (1) to be guided through the literal comprehension questions. It contains 4 pages.
  • Pages 1 - 2, feature the entire chapter, along with numbered guiding questions you should answer as you read. The guiding questions are placed on the pages where the answers may be found.
  • Pages 3 - 4, feature the entire chapter, along with numbered guiding questions and embedded micro-numbers indicating the specific portion of the chapter that contains the answer for each numbered question. For example, for the portion of the chapter that provides the answer to question 1, look for the micro-number 1 in the chapter. The micro-numbers are highlighted in yellow.
3. Download Numbers 12 NLT, Reading (2) to be guided through the inferential comprehension questions. It contains 4 pages.
  • Pages 1 - 2, feature the entire chapter, along with numbered guiding questions you should answer as you read. The guiding questions are placed on the pages where the answers may be found.
  • Pages 3 - 4, feature the entire chapter, along with numbered guiding questions and embedded micro-numbers indicating the specific portion of the chapter that contains the answer for each numbered question. For example, for the portion of the chapter that provides the answer to question 1, look for the micro-number 1 in the chapter. The micro-numbers are highlighted in yellow. 
  • Note the hints included to support you in making the necessary inferences.
