Our Friday Evening Mixers are back! Joe Vinson and Peter Hubiak will be the coordinators for round robin mixed doubles and drinks, pizza, and conversation following tennis. It's a weekly tennis party for adult members (free) and guests ($10). The first 20 (maximum) to sign up will be put on the roster.  If the roster is full, you will be listed as a substitute should there be any cancellations. 

Old Forge Pizza is available by pre-order ($1.50/slice) to be consumed at the end of play. A dessert will be provided on the first Friday.  Bring your own beverages.  Please bring a can of balls the first Friday. Club Barbeque on June 25
We plan to have a BBQ on Saturday, June 5 starting at 5 pm. We will offer hot dogs, burgers,and cheeseburgers. It will be BYOB. There will be kids' activities, a bean bag toss, a tennis exhibition, and plenty of opportunity to meet and socialize with other STC members. The cost is $10.00 per person. July 7-10 6th Annual Lackawanna County Open Tournament 
The next event at the club will be a Parent-Child round robin tournament on Sunday, June 12 at 4 pm.  Each team will have an opportunity to play 3 rounds with other teams, with prizes for the best team in each group. The activity is free for members, $10 for guests. Sign up on the bulletin board by the kitchen or respond to this note. There is a limit of 12 teams for this event, so sign up today! Adult parent-child combinations are also eligible to participate.
Hot Shots Junior Organized Play Program takes place on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 pm. This is a program only for STC junior members. STC Pro Joe McNulty pairs up players with comparable opponents. Join weekly invite list and RSVP each week. To sign up, contact John Weiss at

Junior Clinics
Our junior clinics will be starting next week on June 13. Check out the program here. Classes are filling up fast, so don't hesitate to get your kids signed up! The Tuesday-Thursday 9 am class is already filled for the first session, but there are openings for the 10:30 am and 1 pm classes, along with availability for the Monday 1 pm class. There are also some openings for the second session, which starts on July 11. To register, fill out this form.

Tennis 101
There are spots available in our Tennis 101 class, which is taught by Kathleen McKenna, the highly successful coach at Scranton Prep for many years.  Learn the basics of the game in a fun and relaxed environment. The program runs for six weeks and includes a one-hour lesson each week followed by a half hour of play time. Classes are held on Saturdays at 1 pm. The cost is $120 for 6 sessions.
