Blind Draw Mixed Doubles Tournament was cancelled today, and is rescheduled for Saturday, September 10. Some of the players who were signed up for today's event will not be able to play next Saturday, so there are spots open. There will be a new sign-up sheet on the main bulletin board tomorrow or you can respond by return email, if you would like to participate.
Players arrive by 8:45 am, with play starting at 9 am. It's a great opportunity to meet other club members and enjoy some fun tennis! Arrive at 8:30 am to warm up. Preliminary matches may last until about noon, with the top 4 men and women advancing to the semifinals.
• There is no charge for STC members, $10 for non-members
• Round Robin format, play at least 3 matches
• Prizes for the finalists
The tournament will take all the courts from about 9 am to noon.
STC ANNUAL DINNER
We hope to see a number of you at our Annual Dinner and Meeting on September 17. We're taking reservations now, so please sign up on the bulletin board, so we can set aside some seats for you. Here are the details:
Our annual dinner party and meeting is scheduled for Saturday, September 17 starting at 6 pm. This annual event will be held at the Waverly Country Club, 903 N Abington Rd, Waverly (next to Glen Oak Country Club). We will have cocktails for purchase as guests arrive along with passed appetizers. Entrees and desserts will be served at your table. It’s a great opportunity to socialize and get to know fellow club members!
The evening will also feature a short annual meeting with election of board members, reports about the past season, and presentation of a few awards. The dinner will cost $55 per person (includes tax and gratuity). Check out the menu here. We've really enjoyed our previous parties at this location, and hope you will join us. Please drop off your check in the mail box at the club or send it to PO Box 678, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Members are encouraged to bring spouses/significant others. The deadline for reservations is Monday, September 12 at 5 pm.
