MARCH: A TRIANGLE OF LOVE
About a month ago I shot stills of a friend's project for The Getty! This project won't release until 2022, which means I can't share any of the photos until then. *sheds tear*
Here are a few behind the scenes moments.
It was 7:00 in the morning somewhere in Pasadena. It was a COLD morning. (Remember LA is still the desert, we get desert weather). When I arrived to set I saw two friends, Ari and Tundae and their baby, Marley. This was my first time seeing them in over a year and meeting their little bundle of joy! Before I knew it, I was pushing all three of them together to catch a few shots. They were so natural. I didn't direct them at all. It was just a *snap, snap, snap* and we were done.
When I saw these photos all I could only say was, "Awww." I love seeing Black love. It's all I've been wanting to see.
What I Like:
I love the energy in these photos, the sweet and gentleness of them. I love the sun rising on the mountains in the background. Between the rising sun and the smiles from Ari and Tundae and their chubby cheeked baby, there is this warmness that I feel looking at these. I can feel their excitement as new parents and the overall love they have for each other. They feel like a postcard, a moment in time.
Congrats to the young couple!
Artletter #7 drops in April. Be on the look out.
