~ Salma Hayek
weekend wrap-up

Making plans to have a good week:

📽️ Spending some 'me time' on getting through the 82 (!!) holiday movies out this year. Holidate was just the tip of the iceberg for all of your favorite seasonal tropes. Keep the magic going with Happiest Season, One Royal Holiday, and more.

🍗 Meal prepping: leftovers, sandwich not included. Reinvent the lavish meal you spent hours preparing
into new and unique leftover ideas. Noms to sweet potato mini loaves and turkey enchiladas verdes (omg).

🎁 Adding on our to-do list: practice wrapping. The season of giving is in full swing, so be sure to add a personal touch with
never-fail tips to wrap any gift. Then level it up with Marie Kondo's zero-waste gift wrap.

🥰 Ready for Monday by being kind to ourselves. Fyi as part of Cyber Monday, you can access Yale's wildly popular 'The Science of Well-Being' for free along with
other online classes about practicing positivity.

🙌 Showing our support for women-run small businesses. There's plenty of time for shipping if you order
from these online shops now, including handmade art prints from Jaimie Art Co and personalized book recs from The Bookery.

🛏️ Wrapping up the weekend by getting *just enough* sleep. Our favorite part of a long weekend is catching up on sleep. However,
here's when to know if you're oversleeping and what to do about it. #Zzz

Our blog series How She Gets to Bed is a deep dive into how women who kick ass during the day spend their night. Tonight, we’re pleased to feature Jillian Ryan, the founder and CEO of Marie Mae Company, a premiere gifting service that features a line of stylish paper goods and artisan created items. 📔
Industry: Retail/E-commerce — Direct-to-Consumer and Corporate Gifting
Occupation: As the CEO and Founder of Marie Mae Company, a corporate gifting service, my team and I help our clients get strategic with gifting AND make a social impact while doing so. I am also the host of The Good Office Podcast!
Age: 39
Location: Plano, Texas
Awake by: 7:00 AM
Asleep by: 10:30 PM

I typically get up each morning and start with coffee and my morning routine (gratitude journal, meditation, check in with my therapist, write out a to do list for the day, and try to make sure I get in a quick ride on my spin bike). From there, each day looks a little different depending on what we are working on. I check in with my team to make sure all is running smoothly, then start working on either client emails, approving gifting proposals/strategies, and developing content for our podcast.

Lately, my nighttime ritual has been to use the amazing Divine Dreams essential oil blend from Savhera, and then I unwind with the New York Times crossword mini each night.

This week we want to know: What's something you've made that you're proud of? For one of us, it's knitting a sweater from scratch. The other, designing a website for a new side hustle. Anything goes, so message us and we'll feature some of the responses! 💌
