tonight's pick-me-ups

Things we're doing to unwind and get cozy before bed tonight:

🤳 Reviving Vine. Six second loops are back and better than ever. The phenomena whose abrupt disappearance shook the internet has returned as a new app called Byte.

📚 Reading all the flicks. Even better than seeing a great movie is realizing that it was an even greater book first.
Here's all the best sellers to hit the screen this year, including a Nine Perfect Strangers miniseries adaptation.

🍷 Stocking up and stacking up.
These must-have, stackable (!!) wine glasses are as chic as they are practical. Perfect for a game night with friends that will impress *and* store in your cupboard perfectly.

🥰 Fighting off the FOMO. Loneliness happens, even when we aren't alone. Next time you're feeling it,
try these little ways to cultivate happy and healthy thoughts, such as self-reflecting. #WellnessWednesday

bedtime stories

Reads when you're up late anyway. Here are tonight's round-up for every occasion:

WELLNESS  For when the fads have taken over your feed ~ Wellness trends come and go faster than fashion and it's getting harder to keep up. Save yourself the headache from trying to make sense of them all. "Ever notice a bit of smugness when someone is really into something for a while? It’s all 'keto this, Cali-sober that.' Trying to impress others by advertising your participation in some current health trend can start to feel a bit poser-like, amiright? That’s cool. Life’s an individual pursuit. No judgment. But what about the person who discovers a personal winner, a real passion, and sticks with it? Farewell, fad! Hello, joy!"

SELF  For when it takes a minute to get to 30, flirty, and thriving ~ Mid-life crises can hit in your 30s too when you feel a slump coming on. Time to refocus those pressures and negative energy into your happiness. "For Americans, happiness has become the ultimate self-help project, which only adds to the pressure of our 30s. Thanks to a wise therapist friend who suggested it, I spent a lot of introspective time in my early 30s focused on deconstructing various abstract happiness clichés (pursue your passion! never give up! fail forward!) and replacing them with more concrete and specific definitions of personal and professional fulfillment."

TECHNOLOGY  For when you're single and it's safer to mingle ~ Reconsider re-downloading Tinder now that they've recently introduced new features to make swiping right and even going on dates safer. "'Every day, millions of our members trust us to introduce them to new people, and we’re dedicated to building innovative safety features powered by best-in-class technology that meet the needs of today’s daters,' Elie Seidman, CEO of Tinder, said in a press release. 'I’m proud to share these updates, which represent an important step in driving our safety work forward at an unmatched scale.'"

RELATIONSHIPS  For when we should clear out the filters ~ Have astrology signs gone too far? Are we excluding people just because their birthday *isn't compatible* with ours? "All of this astro hate aside, there are two main factors when it comes to judging people based on their sign. First, there’s free will. 'Saying you don’t want to live with a Gemini because you think Geminis are gossipy is one thing, but you may have a perfectly sweet Gemini roommate applicant who has worked really hard to learn to use their words for the better. People can learn to curb their faults. Second, and perhaps the biggest, is that while astrology has been around for a very long time, it’s not scientifically proven and is supposed to be fun — excluding people is not."

🍝 MIDNIGHT SNACK 🔥
Baked spaghetti that's the perfect pasta pairing to your face mask (if you know, you know). Ingredients: spaghetti, EVOO, onion, garlic, ground beef, crushed tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, freshly grated parmesan, and seasoning. Time: 1 hour, but so worth it. #pastafordays
