Sunday 28 November - 11am - Advent Sunday

Everyone is welcome to join us for the Eucharist for Advent Sunday.
Daniel is celebrating and Mariama is preaching. We livestream the service on our YouTube for those wishing to join us online.
Inside the church, we have social-distanced seating on the Jermyn Street side (the right-hand side as you enter the church)
and 'free-mixing' on the Piccadilly side. Please remember to bring a face covering and follow the guidance from our welcoming team as you arrive.
Our online Sunday Forum continues with Daniel offering our online community a chance to check-in with each other. The Zoom meeting opens shortly after the Sunday service has ended, and ends at 12.45pm:

Patricia is co-ordinating this event on Zoom, supported by a small band of helpers. The sessions will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm - 7pm throughout Advent. The first online meeting is Monday and the last one on Wednesday 22 December.  Just attend online when you can; there is no requirement to attend regularly. Sign up here to receive the Zoom invite.
Living in Love and Faith
from Sunday 9 January at 12.30pm

This is a 5-week course that invites us to think more deeply about gender, sexuality, sex and relationships.

It will run from 12.30pm to 2pm on 5 consecutive Sundays. Each week we will introduce a topic for conversation and listen to a Gospel of Our Lives story from a member of the St James's community. We'll then move into small groups for further sharing and conversation.
To help establish a brave and comfortable space for exploring these important and sensitive topics, we are asking people to sign up for the 5-week course, and the church will be closed to other visitors while these groups are taking place. You can find more information and sign up on ChurchSuite here.

Staying in Touch
Our newsletter is sent out regularly on a Wednesday. Please send brief notices to John by 5pm on a Wednesday for inclusion the following week.
Please send any requests for prayer or pastoral care to Petra our Pastoral Care Coordinator, and we will be in touch. We pray for people by first name only at the Sunday Eucharist for about 4 consecutive weeks; we also have a prayer group of 4 people to whom we can pass on your first name only and a brief reason for the request. (Please tell us if you have a preference for how you would like us to respond to your prayer request.)
Help us make a difference in the community by becoming a Friend of St James's and making a monthly gift. Your gift will support the everyday needs of St James's and help us to value each person who comes through the gates.
