Founders Letter
It's fall, and the smell of newly sharpened pencils is in the air. We're excited.
This week, with the brilliant and generous public relations experts at our fantastic partner Falco, Ink., we announced our 12 TWL US participant writers (below). This cohort of 12 women is a terrific group—imaginative, passionate, curious, and prepared. We can’t wait to hit the books with them this fall.
Truth is—and we'll repeat this ad nauseam because it’s true—all our applicants are impressive. Writing and putting your work out there is hard. We continue to be astounded by our community.
... Which keeps on growing beyond these shores. To wit: On September 10th and 11th, we held our second virtual TWL UK & Ireland intensive with 14 incredible writers (also below), and it was a smash. We'll be working with those writers to facilitate another draft or two and make some marketplace connections.
In October, we'll join our friends at Get It Made and have some fun workshopping script openings. And in November, we're on course to hold our US 2022 retreat in person for the first time in almost three years. Miraculous.
After that, stay tuned. We’re planning more events for women writers over 40, and we won't stop until their voices are heard.
Write on.
