BAKER LAW
FEBRUARY 2020
Dear Friends,

After nearly 18 years at large law firms, I am pleased to announce the launch of my new law firm. I will continue to focus exclusively on design and construction. My website features continually updated content, a video library, and a library of resources available for download. Take a look around and let me know what you think!

I am also happy to provide this monthly e-newsletter, with informative tips and information regarding design and construction law, dispute avoidance, and early cost-efficient dispute resolution. My mission is to help people who design and construct buildings enter into good contracts, avoid disputes, and have their expectations met with ‘win-win’ outcomes.

In firm news, I will present an hour lunch-and-learn on March 18th at AIA Chicago. I will closely examine two heavily-negotiated and important contract clauses: 1) indemnity, defense, and hold harmless clauses; and 2) intellectual property, copyright, and licensure clauses. You can register here. I hope to see you there!

Lastly, I am proud to announce I was selected as a 2020 Leading Lawyer in Construction Law for the fourth consecutive year by Law Bulletin Media, which recognizes the top 5% of licensed attorneys in Illinois. I have also been named among the top 5% of lawyers in Illinois for Construction Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution once again with my inclusion in Thompson Reuters’ 2020 list of Illinois Super Lawyers.

I never intend to intrude on your inbox. If you wish to unsubscribe, simply hit the unsubscribe button below. Thank you for your support of my firm.
