Maine-ly Summer: Artwork by Terry Wilson

Now on view at Monkitree, 263 Water Street, through Aug 27th
Terry Wilson of Gardiner captures the magic of Maine in the summer. Whether it is trips along the rugged coast, to the tranquil lakes, hiking in the forests or visiting historic downtowns, one can’t help but savor the vibrancy of the season. Wilson, born and raised in Maine, clearly has a passion for her subject. She captures the beautiful vacationland she calls home in every stroke of her brush. Inspired by the many adventures she takes with her family, she says, “I hope to convey a small piece of the many beautiful reasons we love this state.”

Monkitree is open Tues-Fri 10-5 & Sat 10-4

Johnson Hall Renovations are underway!

There is a flurry of construction activity inside the walls of historic Johnson Hall these days. You can keep up with the latest renovation updates, the history of the building, and learn about ways you can donate to help the project on their website

Loving Logan
An anonymous donor has come forward and will be matching up to $50,000 of all donations to Johnson Hall that are $1,000 or less in memory of Logan Johnston. So many of us loved Logan and he loved our community. He is missed deeply, but through our sadness, we are working to make sure his dream of a newly renovated Johnson Hall becomes reality. Construction has begun. We smile knowing how much Logan would have loved seeing the progress. If you would like to give in memory of Logan, and have your gift doubled, visit
