Get it in Gardiner!
Raggamuffins Consignment Boutique 279 Water Street

Raggamuffins has been a favorite shop for many Gardiner residents and visitors since 1993. That is over two decades of providing people with a place to sell clothing they no longer wear and shoppers to pick up well cared for secondhand clothing, shoes and accessories. Buying thrifted clothing is a great way to reduce waste and curate a one of a kind wardrobe.

Something you may not know is that Raggamuffins is now under new ownership! Lots of exciting new changes are being made in the store with more to come. There are weekly sales and cross promotions with other businesses on the street. Stop in to welcome new owner Tara to Gardiner, and see what's new!

Raggamuffins is always on the look out for gently used, in style clothing and accessories, so the next time you clean out your closet you know where to bring the items you think someone else would love. They are currently accepting new consignors in all categories- womens, mens and kids. No appointment is needed - you can drop your items off and the staff will take care of the rest!

There is always something new to find at Raggamuffins so stop in next time you are in downtown Gardiner!

Store hours: Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm

Save the Date: Growing Gardiner Celebration, Saturday June 18th

All-Day Events Downtown & Evening Picnic on the Common

Growing Gardiner will be a great day for all ages to explore downtown and spend the day in Gardiner. Gardiner Main Street is partnering with community members to host a fun-filled day for neighbors and new residents, and for visitors wanting to explore and enjoy the charm of our historic city on the Kennebec River. The event begins downtown at 8:30am and concludes with a community picnic at the Gardiner Common from 5 to 7:30 pm.

Downtown activities include plant sale, kids activities, expert talks on nature and history, puppet show and craft, antique cars, live music, drumming, dance, plein air artists, gallery shows, and scavenger hunt. Get rewarded for supporting small businesses during the event. Gardiner Main Street will be giving away $500 in local shopping certificates! Just show them your receipt for $50 or more from a single merchant to enter.

All are welcome to join at the Gardiner Common for a community picnic starting at 5pm. Bring your own picnic items or purchase burgers and hotdogs from the Gardiner Rotary. Desserts and an ice cream sundae bar (by donation) will be provided by the local churches. Enjoy music from the Hallowell Community Band, family games and a story walk set up around the common. Whether you’re a local resident or visiting from away, all are welcome to spend the day in Gardiner and enjoy our beautiful city and its wonderful community. Please join us and be part of a Growing Gardiner Community!
The finalists are in! In their first round, thousands of Down East magazine readers cast write-in votes for all their Maine favorites: bookstores to breweries, museums to marinas, architects to apple orchards. The top five vote-getters in each round became finalists*. Between now and June 30, cast your vote for the winner in as many of the following 55 categories as you like. They'll publish the Best of Maine 2022 winners in the September issue of Down East!

Vote for your favorites, but we recommend our Gardiner finalists: A1 Diner, Gardiner Food Co-op & Renys!
