2020 has been a challenging year for all of us. COVID-19 has drastically impacted how we live, work, travel, and socialize. It has also brought enormous changes to how we provide support, but it has not changed our motivations. Our focus at Home and Community Options continues to be the health, safety, and well-being of those we serve and our staff. We are committed to coming in to work each day to support our friends and neighbors with disabilities: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Despite the struggles brought by COVID-19, Home and Community Options has been able to do some truly amazing things. We’ve been able to leverage technology to help those we serve access critical telehealth services from their own homes. We’ve created hundreds of events and activities that have been a source of joy and entertainment for many of our individuals who have been unable to return to work. We’ve been able to help people stay connected from afar – with loved ones, friends, and with each other. Yet, there is always room to do more. If you are passionate about our work, we hope you will consider a contribution towards sustaining HCO’s critical services.
Now and in the future, Home and Community Options will continue our efforts to move mountains in the lives of those we serve. Life will always throw us curve balls, but how we face these challenges – with grace, decency, and kindness – will be what defines our success. All of us at Home and Community Options wish you joy, happiness, and good health this holiday season.
