Delivery, Pickup, & Dropoff 

Day Violins is happy to offer a temporary delivery, pickup & drop-off service to better facilitate the needs of our customers. 

Day Violins believes in the healing and consoling power of music. All of us at Day Violins experience the blessings of music first-hand in our lives, and have chosen to dedicate our time, careers, and lives to support the music community. In these times of uncertainty and stress, we know music can be a great help to both the individual and the family. Not only can it help us to work through our fears, and express what is in our hearts, but it can bring the family together and can be a conduit of peace and hope from a Higher Power.  We desire to continue supporting our customer’s musical instrument needs and our team members at Day Violins throughout this pandemic, but we also want to make sure you are aware of how we are following yesterday’s directive from the Governor. (


Beginning today, as many restaurants are still able to do, our showroom will offer drop-off and pick-up services outside our store between 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Appointments for both delivery and drop-off and pickup can be scheduled between 10 a.m. & 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. We will not be servicing customers inside the showroom until it is appropriate to do so. Please call the store during these new hours, and Adam will assist you with your instrument needs. 801-288-9999

If you have an instrument at the store for repair, please be aware that all three of our luthiers are still working (Stan and Michael from home, and Adam from the shop. When your repair is ready, we will call you, and you can opt to use either our pick-up/drop-off service or the delivery service as detailed below:
Pickup and Drop-off 

Storefront Pick-Up and Drop-Off:

The storefront pick-up and drop-off options are best for those who need more specific work, such as instrument repairs, string changes, sound checks, etc. The pick-up and drop-off area is near the front door of the showroom and is indicated by a sign which says Day Murray Music pickup. Appointment scheduling for pickup and drop-off is between 10 a.m. & 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Day Violins' Delivery Service

Delivery Service:


Delivery service is free for customers purchasing a new instrument, or trading up to a new level of instrument. For all other deliveries, there is a $15 fee. Deliveries will typically be between 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and sometimes available outside those hours by request. Appointment scheduling for deliveries is between 10 a.m. & 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 

If you would like to purchase a new instrument or trade up to a higher quality or new size, please contact the store. Adam Day will personally trial instruments in the respective size and quality requested and select the choicest instrument and bow to match. He will then make any final adjustments to assure the best tone possible. Adam will do the instrument selection process using the most responsible measures, by using a mask and towel while trialing the instrument, and washing hands before and after doing so. Instruments traded or purchased using the delivery service will be eligible for up to 100% trade-in within three months. 

Deliveries are available to those within the Salt Lake Valley. Furthermore, deliveries are also available to those who live within 10 miles of the Silicon Slopes, in the Utah Valley area.

The eligibility for the 100% trade of delivered instruments within three months are as follows: 

1) The instrument & bow must be in like-new quality with no cosmetic or structural damages. (Assessment by string specialist upon trade.)

2) The strings on the instrument must show no excessive wear, which exceeds the typical wear seen on strings within three months. (Assessment by string specialist upon trade.)
