Running the Race at Cornerstone

We would like to thank Mrs. Becky Godbold for her years of service to our school. She was loved by all her students and we will miss her so much, but we wish her the best as she travels and spends time with her family. She left her currents students so prepared and ready for Mrs. Kalee.
Mrs. Becky we love you and will miss you!

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith." Hebrews 12:1-2

Cornerstone is so thankful for examples like Mrs. Becky Godbold, who have shown us for so many years what running a good race in life looks like.

March Students of the Month

Congratulations to Elianah and Sara our CCS notable students for March!

Cornerstone Warmly Welcomes Mrs. Kalee Coates

We are blessed and excited to have Mrs. Kalee Coates join us this spring. An Academic Honor Graduate of North Central High School, she's a well-loved local. She completed her Bachelor's in Education from Western Governor's University and has been teaching for four years. Mrs. Kalee says, "I absolutely love kids! They are the reason why I teach, why I love my job, and what made me decide to teach. I knew that I would be able to make an impact on many children’s lives."

When asked what brought her to CCS, she cited the Christian atmosphere and the smaller classrooms and student-teacher ratios. "I think one-on-one or small group learning is great and I am a huge fan of it." When asked if there is any thing that makes her teaching style distinctive, she said, "my favorite thing would be incorporating music and games into my teaching and their learning. Learning can never be boring, it must always be fun!"

We're so excited to have Mrs. Kalee and her sweetness and energy. She is married to Davey and in their spare time they're active at church, traveling or spending time with family. She's excited about the future and says, "Lastly, I'm thankful that God opened doors here at CCS for me and they've been opened with loving arms!"

5K & Fun Run Is This Month!

Business Sponsorships graciously responded and we are blessed to have our run paid for. Now we just need friends and family to come run and play.

Please pray for good weather and a fun day! We need your help on race day and hope our entire school family will be able to be there and invite their friends and neighbors.

Want to help but you're far away? You can support CCS by clicking this Donate button and donating on our site. You can designate the student or family your gift supports.

There are prizes for both the most money raised and for the most sign-ups. Help Cornerstone make this event terrific! And thank you for your help in getting the word out about our wonderful school.

Why are we doing this? Cornerstone Christian doesn't aim to be a large school, but we do need to grow from our current numbers. We hope by making the Kershaw County area more familiar with our school, we will attract more families and grow as the Lord wills.
