Shaping the Hearts
of Our Students

One of our goals here at CCS is to mold the hearts of our students so that they become caring, influential citizens who make a difference in their families, communities and beyond. Throughout the school year, we plan a variety of activities to give our students that chance to reach out a make a difference in other people's lives. Our hope is for our students to begin to understand at a young age that life is better lived serving and loving others.

Spelling Bee

Caroline Melvin won the first through fourth grade division. Sarah and Ella Sheorn tied for the fifth through eighth division. Our next bee will be in April. Help your children start practicing now. 

Multiplication Marathon, Times tables 2-7

First place was Sarah Sheorn. Second place was Ella Sheorn. Third place was Dylan Relph. Fourth place was Abigail Cook, and in fifth was Avery Pruitt. The second round will be held February 20th - times tables 8-12.

Box Tops - Due February 22, 2019
Collect your box tops and bring them in by February 22. CCS earns 10¢ for every box top we turn in. Shoe Drive

The Beta Club is continuing to collect pairs of new/used shoes to donate. We are still in need of 800 pairs of shoes. Please clean out your closets, and tell your friends and family to do the same. Help us reach our goal of 2,500 pairs of shoes.

School Supply Drive


Beta Club and Pen Pals Club have teamed up to sponsor a school supply drive. The supplies will be sent to a new school that is being build in Zimbabwe. All items should be new and should be turned in by Friday, Feb 22. Items needed include:
  • notebook paper.
  • composition books. 
  • pencils.
  • rulers.
  • chalk.
  • packs of flash cards.
  • bookbags.

Spirit Week - February 25 - March 1


Show your school spirit by participating in our spirit week. 
  •  Monday - Throwback Day
  • Tuesday - Country Day
  • Wednesday - Wacky Tacky Day
  • Thursday - Career Day
  • Friday - Dr. Seuss Day

We are offering a discounted price for student ads this year. Be sure to take advantage of this great deal.
