Could you use $380?

We hope all of you will take us up on this terrific offer to help spread the word about CCS. Cornerstone is offering one month of free tuition - that's $380 - to families who refer a new family to CCS. Once the new student pays their registration, book fees and the first month's tuition, your tuition account will be credited for one free month! There is no limit, so feel free to fill up our classrooms while you keep your money in your pocket. Please continue to pass on the word about our campus, our great facilities and and our mission. There are many in Kershaw County who don't know about CCS and the great Christian education that we provide.

 Back to School Night

Bring your class supplies and enjoy seeing your teacher and your room from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Supply lists links are listed below.

Cornerstone will be asking each student to purchase an Agenda for $10 the coming year. These will be available at our meeting.

We will also have our new t-shirts for sale for $12. Available in multiple sizes, we're keeping the costs as low as possible in the hopes that our families will buy them and wear them on School Spirit days, field trips, and around town to advertise CCS to our community.

New Communication Tool

We'll be utilizing Remind this year to make communication as smooth as possible between Cornerstone and your family. Click this link and sign up to be part of the CCS Community for important text messages from Janet Etters or your child's teacher.

The Remind service will join our monthly e-blasts as our most important means of communication. Useful for contacting you for weather alerts and great for you to contact your child's teacher for a quick clarification. It won't get lost in an inbox because it pops right up on your phone to keep you informed. We promise to use this communication tool responsibly and we're excited to have it.

Interested in Drama Club this year? CCS will be opening its doors to invite area homeschoolers to join our students on Mondays from 3:30-5:00 for Drama Club. This club will be open to students K5 and up. Students will have an opportunity to experience the fun of Shakespeare's plays through acting, designing, and directing a play they will then perform for our friends and families in November. Click here or call the school office if your child wants to take part and parents and grandparents are needed to help too! There is no cost for this club but memory work will be expected (and entertaining!).
We are excited to offer two classes for our Dance Team, one class for the younger, less experienced student, and one for the more advanced students.  The younger class would also include K5 students.  The time for each class would be from 3:05 till 3:50, time would be afterschool and would not interfere with recess. (This will be only one class per week for each group.) There is a monthly cost for this activity.

You Can Still Go To Washington DC in May! We have high hopes that enough people will be able to go.

This would be a fabulous Christmas gift or a terrific trip for grandparents to take too!
The Washington, D.C. field trip is for 4th – 9th graders, with tentative dates of May 11 – 14, 2020. Children may go alone as long as we have a chaperone for every group of four. While in Washington, D.C., we would visit The White House, The Capitol, The Lincoln Memorial, The Bureau of Engraving, Arlington National Cemetery, and a number of other places.

The excellent price of $610 per person would include all transportation, three nights’ hotel accommodations, three breakfasts, three lunches, and two dinners. A $25 deposit is required, which would be refunded if we don’t have enough interest. We must have at least 25 to schedule the trip. Deposits are due now because we already got an extension!

Please contact us at or call call 803-432-8885 to let us know you want to go.

The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round...

Our bus is out and rolling - It has already taken kids to Lookup Lodge and been a billboard for us at Smith Builder's on Hwy 521. Although the bus itself was a gift from a local church, expenses for repairs and updating its look came to around $2,600.

This is a fantastic price for a school bus, so would you please consider an extra gift to the Bus Fund? You may use the link below or you can send a donation to the school. Thank you for partnering with us.

CCS Is Now Offering K2-12th Grade!

The excellent education you expect from CCS can now continue through High School. Through Abeka Academy, your child will be enrolled in an accredited video program with a course schedule to follow along with digital tests and quizzes. Using a virtual classroom setting, Abeka Academy will grade all work and keep a record of each student’s progress. Each student will receive report cards and an official academic transcript meeting all SC State Graduation Requirements. Coursework can be specialized to fit your child over their high school years and the program will run with our normal school calendar allowing continuation of the great community they already enjoy here at CCS. Email the school office at to register today!

At CCS we like to keep our parents informed of ways to make Christian education the very affordable option. Several CCS parents are already taking advantage of this program.

Effective January 1, 2018, families may withdraw up to an aggregate of $10,000 a year per beneficiary tax free to cover K-12 tuition at public, private or religious elementary or secondary schools. Account owners are responsible for monitoring, and complying with the $10,000 aggregate limit for such expenses. (From the Future Scholars SC site)

We want to better connect with each other, so Cornerstone Christian Families (CCF) is our new parent-teacher organization! We will be kicking off on Back to School Night, August 12th, with dinner provided. We hope to build better communication within CCS as well as build better awareness of our school in Kershaw County.

Want to help? Contact Bekah Lawing at 803-420-4931 or by email if you:
