BUILDING STRONGER COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING EXPERT GUIDANCE ON INCLUSION OF PERSONS WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES
Hello <<First Name>>

HEY SUMMER CAMP AND RECREATION STAFF - I'm here for you! You have been hit particularly hard by the uncertainty of the coronavirus and the splintered unfolding of the CDC re-opening guidelines. You have been left to waffle back and forth on whether to stay open, delay opening, offer on-line activities or sadly, not open at all for the summer. The uncertainty has left a near impossible timeline for you to open programming for your families who are desperately seeking some type of normalcy this summer for their children in a safe and comfortable way.
You've been working around the clock under a condensed timeline to respond to and comply with these regulations. In addition to all of that, you also have the formidable task of considering how you continue with your inclusion initiative, ensuring that campers with diverse abilities are welcomed, engaged and supported to have meaningful experiences this summer. I stand committed to supporting you and have "pivoted" to create timely and affordable webinars to support your program to be "inclusion ready" this summer.

Inclusion is NOT Cancelled – join ACA, New England for a MERGE webinar designed to support your inclusion initiative ensuring that campers with diverse abilities are still engaged and supported in meaningful participation. We’ve taken our inclusion principles and strategies, adapting them to be applied to the challenges of the new health and safety guidelines your camp community is facing. You’ll learn that embracing these strategies will not only be beneficial to children with disabilities, but also builds a positive camp culture as we recognize that ALL your campers (and staff) may be experiencing effects of the current global pandemic and resulting isolation and uncertainty. Give your team the tools and confidence to successfully support ALL campers this summer, but especially those with diverse abilities.
