BUILDING STRONGER COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING EXPERT GUIDANCE ON INCLUSION OF PERSONS WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES
Hello <<First Name>>

Like many, by the second week in March every conference and training I had been scheduled to present at had been cancelled through the end of April. After two years of building up my business and working to spread the word about inclusion I was feeling pretty defeated and uncertain if I could make it through this time to keep MERGE afloat.
A week later, one of my clients, Massachusetts Library Systems, where I had been previously scheduled to teach a series of inclusion trainings in April and May, reached out to me. They asked if I could create a webinar that would be relevant to what we were all going through with the Covid-19 crisis. A week later I introduced "Inclusion is NOT Cancelled: Coping Strategies For ALL During A Time Of Isolation And Uncertainty". On April 2nd, over 215 librarians logged in and joined me to explore the Top Ten Inclusion Tips in an effort to support each other and engage in social interaction while practicing physical distancing. It received rave reviews and I am proud to say that I am now working to bring it to community organizations everywhere to provide it for their staff, members, families and community members. I invite you to check out this month's newsletter to see the many ways in which MERGE is here for you and here for our community. #WeAreInThisTogether

MERGE LAUNCHES WEBINAR TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITIES
In a time of great uncertainty, one thing is for certain: no matter your situation we can all use help in what has become our temporary normal. Inclusion strategies are good for anyone during this time; Be it you, a family member, friend, neighbor, or co-worker who has a disability, or not.
We are all in this together and MERGE is prepared to lend its expertise in a webinar format to extend/outreach out to our communities to aide in effective and reassuring methods and guidance on how we can continue to create social connectedness while practicing physical distancing.
Michelle Eberle of the Massachusetts Library System brought this webinar to over 215 librarians and shared, "Thank you very much for your outstanding presentation today!  Attendees have shared the most beautiful expressions of gratitude. I can’t thank you enough, everyone got so much out of this webinar."
We are reserving space now for April dates. If you would like to bring this webinar to your staff, your membership or the community you serve reach out to: Lisa Drennan at lisadrennan@mergeconsulting.org.

It was extremely beneficial for our staff to receive this learning opportunity in regards to working with children of all abilities. Lisa reminded our staff that children interact, learn and experience the world around them differently and how by building a stronger community within our summer program we have the tools to make our program successful for all. We will be incorporating Lisa into all of our summer trainings going forward, our staff found her training to be extremely helpful."
