Welcome to our final newsletter of 2021, a year which began with a third lockdown, and after another challenging year has seen a return to some sort of 'normality'. It has been great in recent months to be able to catch up with colleagues and clients, and get out once more to view sites past and present. We thank you for your interest in our work and we hope that you have enjoyed our monthly newsletters. We look forward to sharing more updates in 2022.
This month we have been pleased to welcome Naomi Harrington to pad. Naomi has joined us as an Architectural Assistant, having gained a first-class degree in architecture from the University of the West of England (UWE). Congratulations also go to Associate Architect Mark Cains who has recently joined UWE as a part-time lecturer.
In this newsletter, we provide updates on two of our ongoing projects and in our final site revisited photo of the year see how Clevedon Hall Estate is looking a couple of years after completion. As always, further photos of our projects, together with a mix of design plans, sketches, elevations and other studies can be found on our Instagram feed.
We hope that you have a great run up to Christmas and an enjoyable festive season. We wish you all the best for 2022 and hope to catch up with you all soon.

We have provided revised and additional material relating to an application by South West Strategic Developments for outline planning permission at Hutton, Weston-super-Mare this month. This reflects the updated proposals to deliver a new dark corridor along the edge of the site, which will have ecological benefits as well as providing a buffer to the adjoining residential properties.

The application for 25 new homes at Churchill, North Somerset, by Coln Residential has also been updated this month. The proposals now include a new pedestrian link to support walking to local facilities, while the proposed play facilities have been repositioned within the retained former orchard area. As with the Woodside Avenue site, we are hopeful to soon see planning permission.
