A Challenging Winter

As noted last month, this winter has been a particularly busy one for many of us. With the wider issues going on in the world, these projects are providing a welcome distraction. We wish all the best to those caught up in the troubles in the Ukraine, and hope that you are all well too.

February saw full planning permission granted for 57 new homes at Houghton Regis, as detailed below; as well as several new applications and Reserved Matters submissions for projects with which we are involved. These included Land off Hillworth Road in Devizes, where an application for up to 65 new homes has been made by Square Bay. The architectural sketch above shows how split-level housing around the development edge of this proposal could help accommodate the site's level change, while affording views across the surrounding landscape. 
 
Bedford Road
Full planning permission was granted last month to Living Space Housing for proposals for deliver 57 new affordable homes at Houghton Regis, north-west of Luton. The development will sit within a landscape setting and provide new footpath connections to enhance the wider active travel network.
Greenhill Road
Residential-led proposals for up to 49 new homes at Sandford, North Somerset, have been submitted for outline planning permission. The proposals by Stonewood Partnerships would also see land provided at the western end of the site for a new school building with community use, to adjoin the existing primary school.

We have been back to The Old Printworks again this month. This Acorn Property Group redevelopment of a brownfield site in Frome, Somerset, to deliver around 160 new homes and neighbourhood centre uses continues apace. With Phase 2 ongoing, much of Phase 1 is now occupied.
