News and information for West Oxfordshire’s businesses - 01 Apr 21
Updated ARG scheme
We will be launching a new Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) application process during the week of the 12 April. WODC has the authority to set the criteria for ARG to support local businesses based on local needs. We will be changing our scheme to extend vital additional support to those businesses that continue to be severely impacted by COVID but that are ineligible for the Restart funds.
We are working as quickly as possible to get grant funding out and the improved application will enable more businesses to access financial support quickly once launched. As soon as the new application opens we will update businesses.
Businesses have up until 5pm 9 April to apply for any ARG that would cover the period from November 2020 to March 2021 under the current criteria. If you haven’t yet applied but feel you may be eligible visit our website to check the criteria and submit your application.
All people who are going to work (i.e. not working from home) and that are coming into regular contact with other people including their fellow workers, are being encouraged to get a rapid test twice a week to prevent the spread to Covid-19, even if they have been vaccinated.
There is now a rapid symptom-free testing centre at Brownes Hall in Carterton. Your staff can access this site for their tests by visiting the Oxfordshire County Council website and booking an appointment. Please encourage your staff to get tested.
Businesses employing more than 10 people can still register for test kits for their staff to take home - the deadline for registering for this scheme is 12 April. Please register at gov.uk.
