Welcome to the first Pyramid Post of 2022!

Happy - belated - New Year to one and all!

We took some time in January to plan and recoup before the year ahead; and are pleased to now be opening back up with some
exciting new workshops and classes  - as well as restarting some of our regular activities. 

Throughout February and March - we're focusing on ways to get active, feel calmer and look after yourself - with a season of wellbeing, craft and sporting activities. 

We hope to see you in The Pyramid again very soon!

HATHA YOGA is back!
BOOK HERE: 
BLOCK 1: Wed 9 Feb - Wed 2 Mar | 6 - 7pm | £8 (for 4 sessions)
BLOCK 2: Wed 9 Mar - Wed 30 Mar | 6 - 7pm | £8 (for 4 sessions)


The sessions will be run by Caroline Smart, with mats provided. All you need to do is turn up!

You can book in to both blocks of yoga sessions - or choose either Block 1 (Wed 9 Feb - Wed 2 March) or Block 2 (Wed 9 March - Wed 30 March).

Please do not book both blocks if you are not sure that you will be able to attend all the sessions.
Spaces on these classes are limited - and are on a first come first served basis.

CHAIR YOGA - Suitable for all!

The classes will be run by Caroline Smart, and are open and accessible - with no equipment required. All you need to do is turn up wearing some comfy clothes!

Chair Yoga is suitable for everyone. Here's what some of Caroline's Chair Yoga regulars have to say:

Cook Yourself Happy!
Cookery classes with ideas and recipes to help chase away the blues.

Join our Community Kitchen Manager, Stuart, to cook up a range of healthy, quick, cheap (and indulgent) recipes that are simple and nutritious as well as comforting. Come along, and learn how to cook cheering and tasty meals that are easy to make when you're feeling a wee bit low in spirits.
You can join one session - or book all six.

All equipment and ingredients provided - and you get to take your delicious creations home!

Play Together on Pedals : Starting on Saturday 26th February    
Play Together on Pedals are fun, sociable cycling sessions for pre-school children - aiming to help them to gain the skills and confidence to ride a bike! The sessions are FREE to attend, with bikes, balance bikes and helmets provided - with experienced instructors on hand to lead the sessions.

Play Together on Pedals at The Pyramid will begin on Sat 26 Feb, and will run on the following dates:
Sat 12 Mar | Sat 26 Mar | Sat 9 Apr & Sat 23 Apr
There will be two hour-long sessions on each date. Session 1: 2-3pm & Session 2: 3-4pm
We will hold the sessions outside (on the hardstanding at the back of the building) or inside if the weather is not good.

Weekly Food Share: Wednesdays    |   12noon - 2pm
Our weekly Food Share is OPEN TO ALL! 
Pop along to pick up some free homemade soup, bread and a bag of fruit.

WEDNESDAY LUNCH CLUB: 12.15pm
We also restarting our Wednesday lunch club on 9th February. Each week we'll serve up a three course meal for £2.50. Places are limited, if you want to book in advance, please ring 0141 226 3277 (leave a message and contact number) or email kitchen@thepyramid.scot to book. 

Knit & Natter: Every Monday from 10am - 12noon
The Knit & Natter group meet every Monday morning, here at The Pyramid.
If you enjoy crochet, knitting, sewing or crafting (and of course nattering) - please pop along and join. Bring your own projects with you, or help the group to knit Easter gifts for our local schools.

They are also cooking up a fun yarn bombing project to brighten up the streets of Anderston - and would love people to join in! No experience necessary - they'll make sure there are projects that can be created for all levels, so that everyone can join in.

No need to book - just pop along! Monday mornings at 10am.

Anderston Green Spaces: Blaes Pitches Clear-up | 12noon
Join Anderston Green Spaces on Sunday 13th.
They will be raking, bagging and storing leaves, clearing litter, pruning shrubs and removing dead wood from the Elderslie St side of the Blaes Pitch.  #PeopleMakeAnderston #LetAnderstonFlourish 💚🌿

Wear scruffy clothes, sturdy footwear and if you have your own tools - please bring them along.
