Welcome to the April edition of the Pyramid Post - we’ve got lots of exciting news to share this month!

We're hiring! We're looking for people to fill a number of key organisational roles: Chief Officer, Finance Manager and Duty Manager/s. Find out more about the job descriptions and how to apply on our NEW website! 

Major improvement works are now underway in one of our community halls, and our kitchen is being completely refurbished too. Installation of our new cycle store is almost complete; and we have had lots of positive feedback about the Anderston Green Spaces planting around the building. Thank you to everyone who helped plant the lovely bulbs that have flowered. Spring has sprung!

We are currently recruiting for a number of key roles: Chief Officer, Finance Manager and Duty Manager/s.

All roles are based at The Pyramid at Anderston in Glasgow, with hybrid home working depending on the needs of the organisation and any COVID restrictions. We are an accredited Living Wage Employer and committed to supporting a diverse workforce.

Time for a spring clean? Hire a table at our community table top sale to give pre-loved items a new home; clear your clutter, raise money for The Pyramid and put a few pounds in your own pocket too! 

We've had a good old clear out at The Pyramid. Why not do the same? Think of it as an indoor car boot sale where you can sell things you no longer use, and find some bargains to boot! Register for a table here:

Open to all on the day to come and browse and buy – free entry (suggested donation of £1 per person.)
We’re really pleased that our new website has launched. It’s really simple to use, with improved accessibility and translation available on every page. It’s THE place to go to book into our events and activities, hire a space in the building or join up as a member.

JOIN US! Become a Trustee.

We are recruiting Trustees to strengthen our existing Board, including a Treasurer. These are unpaid voluntary positions, reasonable expenses reimbursed and equipment provided.

We are holding an ‘open house’ session with our staff and current Trustees on Tuesday 26 April at The Pyramid for anyone who wants to find out more about being a Trustee. Please drop in between 2pm – 4pm or 5pm – 7pm.

LUNCHTIME YOGA | £2 (Pay on the door) Wednesdays / 12noon - 1pm

EVENiNG YOGA | £2 (Pay on the door) Wednesdays / 6 - 7pm

CHAIR YOGA | FREE (Drop-in) Thursdays / 9.15 - 10.15am

Cyanotype Printing | TUES 26 APRIL: 3.15 — 5.30pm
FREE. All materials provided.

Join photographer Melissa Mitchell, to try your hand at cyanotype printing. We’ll go for a little walk to gather materials, prepare our paper with chemicals and lay out the objects we've collected to make our prints. Once we’ve made our cyanotypes we’ll tuck into a tasty vegan/vegetarian curry – home-cooked in our Community Kitchen.

These sessions are open to all ages – however, we would recommend that the activities are suitable for young people aged 8 and over. All young people must be accompanied by a parent/carer/responsible adult.  
Places are limited to a maximum of 2 tickets per person.

Membership costs £1.
If you live within the
G3 7 or G3 8 postcode areas you can become a Full Member. If you’d like to support us – but live further afield – you can become an Associate Member.
