Welcome to Issue 4 of the Pyramid Post!
It's been another busy month for Team Pyramid; with building works on site, Wheel Being sessions (with Bike for Good & Glasgow Sport) well underway, yoga sessions about to relaunch and some great news about our Kitchen – read on to find out more!

Thank you to all that attended our AGM last month. We are really pleased to welcome four new Trustees to our Board - Chris Duffy, Robyn Glencross, Reza Karimi and Anna Roszak - they all live locally and bring a wealth of enthusiasm and experience to The Pyramid.

And finally, the Pyramid elves are hard at work behind the scenes planning for this year's Christmas in Anderston which will be held on Friday 3rd December (3 - 7.30pm). There'll be lots of FREE festive fun for the whole community at The Pyramid and the Salvation Army building – more details coming soon, but put the date in your diary now. Ho ho ho!

With funding from sportscotland, we'll soon be upgrading Elderslie Hall - one of the main community spaces in our building. It will become a multi-use facility, suited to a range of sports and activities, with fully accessible changing facilities and new toilets. We'd love to hear what kinds of sports, fitness and recreational clubs, groups or activities you'd like to see on offer in The Pyramid and the local area.
Please take part in our quick online survey to let us know your thoughts and we’ll enter you into a prize draw to win a Fitness Tracking watch!

Mincemeat & Christmas Preserves Cookery Workshop
Thursday 18 November | 10am - 2pm (Refreshments & light lunch incl.)
Come to our free Christmas cookery workshop at The Pyramid and make your own mincemeat, cranberry sauce and Christmas chutney. No experience required. You will also be helping The Pyramid to prepare for our annual Christmas in Anderston celebrations.

  • Learn how to make your own mincemeat for mince pies

  • Learn how to make a cranberry & orange sauce that is perfect with turkey

  • Learn how to sterilise jars and equipment safely

The session will be fun, enjoyable and you will get to leave with some of the goodies that you have made. It would be a great help if you could bring along your own empty jars. This is not essential but it is always better to reuse rather than recycle. Email: to book your place.

The Only Way is Up! And back down again...
Our new platform lift is here, and is almost operational. We're expecting confirmation of a completion date within the next couple of weeks.
This is amazing progress for our building - opening up access to our beautiful Sanctuary Hall to everyone; and is the beginning of the first phase of significant building improvement works that will see major upgrading of our community spaces. Exciting times!
