To My St. Francis Parish Family,

Thank you. I cannot begin to describe how saddened I am to be leaving you all. These eight years have been full of love and friendship, and for that, I am forever grateful. When I first met and joined this community, I felt welcomed and accepted, and I happily made this my home. I witnessed and experienced firsthand how all of you followed Jesus’ message of love and charity, and to me, that is the true mark of a strong Catholic community. There is something special about Cartersville, and I know it is because all your individual gifts from God have come together here to make the perfect blend. I have found safety and friendship in each of you and your families, and because of this, I know this is not good-bye.
I hope that you have found the same comfort in my friendship as well. I pray that you will remember my time here fondly and that I have made a difference in your life somehow. I also pray that each of you continues to live as God has asked of you and share His message of love through your thoughts and actions out in the world. The role of a pastor is to teach, but in my time here, I have also been taught, and I have learned how to truly trust in God and His plan for each of us. I trust that my time with you has been for a reason, and I trust Father Kevin and I will be welcomed into our respective new communities that God has willed for us.
I will miss you all very much and will forever keep each of you in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. May God bless you all.

Yours in Christ,
Father Juan

A mi familia de San Francisco,

Gracias.
Padre Juan
