Fall Festival & Resource Fair Highlights


 

  You will find tastes of Marlborough and the East Side at the Fall Festival & Resource Fair this weekend. Ruby Jean's Juicery will have a sampling of offerings from their shop. Vashon's (located at 8015 Troost) will have a Hot Dog Festival Meal Deal and treats perfect for a fair setting. The Borough is bringing Fall-inspired sweets. G's Jamaican Quisine will feature food they are legendary for

Sept 29, Oct 6, 13, 20 & 27   Free Meal Boxes For Kids: New Life Church. 7945 S. Benton (Marlborough East). 3:00 - 6:00pm (see flyer below)

Oct 1 MARLBOROUGH PARK IMPROVEMENT EVENT 10:00am-11:30am. How to use the iNaturalist App to identify plant species and learn about natural resources in Marlborough Park. 

Oct 6  Church of the Resurrection (COR) Mobile Food Pantry 82nd & Paseo 10am-Noon. New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Parking Lot.(see flyer below)

Oct 6  & 20 Food Pantry @ D.A.V.E's Place 74th & Brooklyn. 11am - 2 pm. (see flyer below)

Oct 8   MARLBOROUGH PARK IMPROVEMENT EVENT 9:00 am to Noon -  INVASIVE PLANT WORKDAY- Honeysuckle removal in the park - Stop by to trim back the invasive plants that have taken over parts of the forest floor in the park.

Oct 13   Traffic Calming Forum with City Representatives 5:30 - 7:00pm (Zoom & possible in-person option) Opportunity to share trouble spots for speeding and other safety issues for vehicles and pedestrians and offer your ideas for solutions. Help the community work through plans and priorities for Marlborough Park. This workshop will be held at The Borough (8026 The Paseo, Kansas City, MO 64131) (see flyer above)

Oct 25   Marlborough Community Meeting  6:30 - 8:00 pm. In Person & Virtual

Oct 29   Great KC Clean Up 2.0  Residents city-wide are encouraged to pick up litter using city-provided  free blue trash bags available from the Coalition. Blue bags filled by volunteers are picked up free by the city. More details to come. info@wearemarlborough.org.
