Volunteers Needed for Mass Vaccination Clinics
Volunteers are needed (must be residents of Huron-Perth) to help with the Mass COVID Vaccination Clinics in Exeter and St. Mary's.

Seeking Participants for Newcomer Welcoming Week
Immigration Partnership is participating in Newcomer Welcoming Week, taking place during September 10-19. We are seeking participants who are newcomers in Huron-Perth that wish to share their unique stories. We are also seeking participants to submit a 10-15 second video demonstrating a cultural greeting and be a part of our Welcoming Week video!

Mental Health Information Session and Resources
Huron Perth Canadian Mental Health Association and Carizon facilitated an information session on mental health services and resources in Huron and Perth. The session took place on June 15 at 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM. It focused on increasing awareness of the facilities and organizations available to community members. Celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day 
Held on June 21, National Indigenous Peoples Day is a day recognizing and celebrating the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Indigenous peoples of Canada.
In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, take the time to look at the resource list on Indigenous Peoples available on the Immigration Partnership website. There are articles, videos, podcasts, films, books and more available to view here.
Update on Humanizing our Differences
Immigration Partnership presented an anti-racism project update regarding the Humanizing our Differences campaign to Council on June 23rd. The workshops had a total of 149 attendees, and the segments on the Immigration Partnership webpage were played a total of 17,969 times. Immigration Partnership continues to receive positive feedback for the campaign, and is hoping to utilize the content created for future campaigns.

Immploy Webinar
Huron County Immigration Partnership partnered with Immploy to create a webinar for employers across Southwestern Ontario called ‘Bilingualism: Adding Value in the Workplace’. The session took place on June 22nd through a virtual presentation and panel discussion. The webinar engaged attendees with a panel of speakers from across the region to explore the benefits of a bilingual workforce, and discover how employers can access bilingual talent in the region.
 
IRCC Community Consultations
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a consultation discussing settlement in our communities, identifying gaps and challenges, as well as opportunities to build capacity. The session determined strategies for building capacity to support new pathways to permanent residency, leveraging technology and changing traditional models of services delivery, supporting anti-racism efforts and specifically how to support visible minority newcomer women.
