Online CAP Registration Opens July 19

Sign up for CAP online beginning July 19. In-person registration at the Public Safety Building begins August 7. Employees registered for CAP 2016-17 have been auto-renewed for 2017-18, so no need to sign up again.

Golden Modes Nominations Are Open!

Every year, the annual Golden Modes Awards recognize commuters and organizations dedicated to sustainable transportation. Nominations are open until Monday, July 31. Nominate someone today (even yourself)!

Transit Service Changes at UNC

The following systems are making service updates for UNC:

• Chatham Transit (CT) Express – See new schedule effective Monday, July 3.

• PART Route 4 – See new schedule effective Monday, July 3.

• GoTriangle – See new schedules effective Monday, August 7.

• Chapel Hill Transit – New schedules will be shared through the Town’s service updates and will be effective August 14.

Use the Transloc Rider App

The Transloc Rider app offers real-time bus tracking, bus stop information and estimated arrival times, and a trip planner. This free app is available for iOS and Android, or there is a browser version at triangle.transloc.com.

$100 Rebate from GoTriangle Vanpool Promotion

Check out GoTriangle's promotion: Sign up for a vanpool before July 31, 2017, and get a $100 rebate on your first three months! See list of all vanpools (rebate applies to Apex, Cary and Siler City vans). 

New Vanpool from Winston-Salem

PART is starting a new vanpool forming from Winston Salem, to arrive at UNC at 8 a.m. and depart at 5 p.m. The monthly cost, including the subsidy, will be $104/month, depending on ridership. Contact Alexa Powell by email at alexap@partnc.org or phone at (336) 291-4314.

Open Seats on Burlington-Graham Vanpool

A van with stops in Burlington and Graham, arriving at UNC at 7:15 a.m. and departing at 4:15 p.m., has open seats. Contact the driver, Kathy Harrison, at ktharris@email.unc.edu or 919-962-4285. 

Free Ride-Matching and Prizes

Use your UNC Onyen login to sign up for ShareTheRideNC for carpooling to events, trips, or work. Employees can track their trips to get GoPerks! UNC Health Care employees can sign up at unchealthcare.sharetheridenc.org.

Bike / Walk

 

Bikeshare is Coming to UNC!

Coming soon, UNC will have 100 bikes available for hourly use from locations around campus! Stay tuned for membership information. 

Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill Meeting

The Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill (BACH) will meet Wed., July 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe. Meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Carrboro Bicycle Coalition Meeting

The Carrboro Bicycle Coalition will meet Wed., Aug. 9, at 8 p.m. in the back room of the Open Eye Cafe. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

Zipcar

Get Free Driving Credit
