2019-2020 CAP Registration

Sign up for CAP online beginning July 22 to receive membership benefits! Employees who registered for CAP before May 2019 have been auto-renewed for 2019-20. Current GoPasses are valid until August 2020, so please hold on to your pass. Need assistance? Email cap@unc.edu.

Transit from Chatham and Lee Counties

Chatham Transit is currently evaluating service for the CT Express route. Please take the survey to show your interest in riding from Pittsboro, Siler City, or Sanford.

Remember to check TransLoc's announcements (under the transit agencies) to see if your bus routes have any detours or changes.

GoTriangle August 2019 Changes

GoTriangle's CRX will have expanded service hours. The new NRX will serve north Raleigh with one transfer at the Regional Transit Center to connect to UNC. Proposed changes to routes 400, 405, 420, and 800 have been delayed until 2020. See all upcoming August service changes.

PART August 2019 Changes

In August 2019, PART will switch UNC Route 4 riders from the GoPass to the free UNC XPass program through TouchPass to offer mobile phone ticketing. CAP will send out more information to PART riders in July.

Bike Month Was a Success!

Hundreds of cyclists celebrated Bike Month in May with OC Cyclefest, a series of local events. The next bike event, Cyclicious, will be held in the Pit on August 23.

New Graham Vanpool Forming

PART is looking for riders to start a new vanpool from the Graham Park & Ride. The van would arrive at UNC around 8:00 a.m. and depart around 5:00 p.m. For a full 15-passenger vehicle, the cost would be $30 per month (with CAP's subsidy). If interested, please email cap@unc.edu.

Chapel Hill Transit Electric Buses

Chapel Hill Transit is planning to purchase three new electric buses, thanks in part to $380,000 from a UNC student-run group, the Renewable Energy Special Projects Committee (RESPC). Read more.
