May is Bike Month!

UNC's Gearing Up for Bike Month is May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of Berryhill Hall facing Columbia St. Check out the event on Facebook! There will be bike swag, free bike checks from the reCYCLEry, and UNC bike registration for a 50% off coupon for a U-Lock!

Transit Summer Break Schedule

Chapel Hill Transit will make service schedule adjustments beginning May 13 due to the UNC summer break schedule for several routes, including the NU, U, A-limited, Safe Ride, and EZ Rider. See more details in this alert

The RSX will not operate May 10 - Aug. 19. See schedule.

Help PART Promote Clean Air Month!

GoTriangle Upcoming Service Changes

The CRX schedule will be modified in August and additional trips will be added for route 800 and several other routes. The JCX and CLX routes will end June 30. See all service change information

NC Transit Plan Public Workshops

Stakeholders and the public are invited to provide input at community workshops across the state as part of the North Carolina Public Transportation Statewide Strategic Plan. The workshops are free and open to the public. A meeting in Durham is on May 4. See the plan page for workshop details.

Cycle de Mayo

Celebrate bicycling at Cycle de Mayo!  The event will be held May 5 at the Plaza at 140 W Franklin St. at 6 p.m. Enjoy bicycle games, events, dancing, contests, and music by incredible high-energy band Ellis Dyson & The Shambles! A bike procession to the event leaves from Wallace Deck at 6 p.m. Come join the fiesta - see more information from Go Chapel Hill.

Bike to Work Breakfast on Libba Cotten

Join other cyclist commuters on the Libba Cotten Bikeway between 7 and 10 a.m. on May 16. There will be biscuits from Neal's Deli, coffee from Open Eye, bike checks, and swag. See the calendar event.

Bike on Bus Workshops

Want to know how to put your bike on the bus? Two workshops can help show you how. The workshop in Chapel Hill is May 6 from 9 a.m.-noon at University Place. The workshop in Carrboro is May 13 from 9 a.m.-noon at Carrboro Town Commons.

Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill Meeting

The Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill (BACH) will meet Wed., May 24, at 6:30 p.m. in Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe. Meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Carrboro Bicycle Coalition Meeting

The Carrboro Bicycle Coalition will meet Wed., May 10 at 7 p.m. in the back room of the Open Eye Cafe. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
