Mebane Bus Service Expanded

On Mon., Apr. 30,  PART will expand Route 4 to include an additional morning and afternoon trip serving Mebane. See the updated schedule

Pay for Park & Ride with Parkmobile

For 1-day parking in UNC Park & Ride lots, UNC has partnered with Parkmobile to provide an electronic payment option. Once registered with Parkmobile, UNC students, employees, and affiliates may use the mobile app, website, or a toll-free number to pay for daily parking.

UNC Earth Day Fair

CAP will attend the Earth Day Fair on Wed., Apr. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Polk Place. We will have informational brochures and free swag! Come on out to celebrate sustainability at UNC.

GoTriangle Proposed Service Changes

GoTriangle is proposing changes to the CRX and expanded Sunday service for other routes. Provide feedback by phone or email by April 26.

GoTriangle is also reviewing public comments regarding their proposal to allow all riders ages 18 and under to ride free, and to eliminate free transfers between GoTriangle buses. Stay tuned for details

Accessibility Improvements for Chapel Hill Transit

Chapel Hill Transit bus stops are undergoing review and improvement processes to better comply with national ADA standards. Read more.

Light Rail Design Open House

GoTriangle will hold open houses to share elements of visual design for the new light rail system. Drop in any time at either meeting: Tues., Apr. 24 from 6-8 p.m. in Chapel Hill or Thurs., Apr. 26 from 6-8 p.m. in Durham. Or, provide input online through May 11. 



Open Seats on Vanpools

Riders wanted! UNC's vanpool subsidy is $30 per month. There are open seats on vanpools from Apex and Siler City. See all vanpools serving UNC.

Free Carpool Matching

Employees and students can use ShareTheRideNC to find carpools for events, trips, or work. Remember to carpool on Earth Day!

May is Bike Month!

Plenty of bike events are in store for the upcoming Bike Month in May. UNC's annual Gearing Up for Biking event with free swag on May 17 at Berryhill Hall. Stay tuned for details! Read Go Chapel Hill's newsletter for more local events.

Mountain Biking

Interested in mountain biking? Join up with the Triangle Off-Road Cyclists (TORC) for weekly rides (for all skill levels) and trail maintenance sessions all across the triangle. See the Meetup group.

Art in Bolin Creek Trail Tunnel

Artist Daniel LeClair is leading students in mural instruction workshops at the Bolin Creek Trail tunnel, near the Pritchard Avenue greenway access. Read more. Take a Tar Heel Bike and go check it out!

New Traffic Signal on MLK Blvd. to Improve Pedestrian Safety

A new traffic signal on MLK Blvd. and Longview St. has begun installation to improve traffic control and pedestrian safety. The light should be ready Apr. 20.


Book a Ford, Plant a Tree!

Reserve a Ford Zipcar from Apr. 9-23 and Zipcar will plant a tree in honor of Earth Day! Zipcar and Ford's annual partnership, One Tree Planted, planted 20,869 trees in 2017 and this year we're shooting for 25,000!
