Vanpool

PART Vanpool Discount

Save money on your commute with this exciting vanpool deal! Check out our new Vanpool Video to learn more about vanpooling. The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation has teamed up with UNC to offer one free month of vanpooling to new riders. New vanpool groups will also earn PART’s exclusive 4-3-2 Vanpool Discount reducing the cost of riding by 40% for the second month, 30% the third month, and 20% the fourth month.

PART has both 7 & 15 passenger vehicles available. Now is the perfect time to sit back, relax, and save. Start by answering a few questions about your commute so we can match you with potential vanpool partners in our UNC Vanpool Survey. This survey will close on Friday, July 29 after which we will follow-up with you regarding your transportation options.

Drive a Vanpool, and Ride Free!

A vanpool leaving from the Cornerstone Shopping Center in Cary is searching for a new driver.  This vanpool arrives on UNC’s South Campus at 7:30 a.m. and departs at 4:30 p.m.  The current driver is retiring, so if you would like to drive a friendly group of UNC employees to work, you can ride free!  Contact Tom Adams at tadamsmar@yahoo.com or 919-637-2512 for details.

Carpool

ShareTheRideNC

UNC has streamlined the ride matching system into one database, ShareTheRideNC (instead of Zimride, which closed July 1). ShareTheRideNC organizes carpools for regular commuting and one time rides, vanpool matching, and bike buddies. Employees can also use Emergency Ride Home (ERH) and GoPerks. We are working on getting a connection to UNC's Onyen login system.
