Chatham Transit's CT Express is running from Siler City providing direct service to UNC! There is a Park & Ride at the Walmart.

Carrboro Open Streets is April 9

On Sunday, April 9 from noon to 4 p.m., the Town of Carrboro will close Weaver Street to car traffic and open the street as a public space for activities including bike races, a rock climbing wall, Zumba, Doonya, and more! Check the Facebook page. Bike from UNC on the Libba Cotten Bikeway.

New Parkway Plaza Park & Ride!

GoTriangle 400 has a new Park & Ride available at Parkway Plaza at 4201 University Dr. in Durham. Park your car here and kick back and relax on the bus! See the newly-designated spaces here

Chapel Hill Transit J Route Detour

Due to the 60-day closure of South Greensboro Street, the J route is being detoured along Main Street and Jones Ferry Road to Hwy. 54. Two stops are temporarily closed, but alternates have been added. See the detour map and alert information here. 

Potential PART Route 4 Expansion

Alamance County just passed a $2 rental car registration fee which could allow Route 4 to run an extra round trip during the day and alleviate overcrowding. The PART Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing April 12. Read more here.

Transit Plan Public Workshop

Learn about upcoming transit plans and talk to project team members in the Chapel Hill Town Hall from 5-7 p.m. on Thurs., April 13. See the calendar event and details here. There are other upcoming meetings in Durham and Orange counties; see for more information.

GoTriangle JCX and CLX

The Fortify rebuild project of I-40 is wrapping up, so funding for the JCX and CLX routes is ending June 30. See the service change information here



Open Seats from Graham

A vanpool departing from Riverside Baptist Church in Graham has open seats. It arrives at UNC Dental School at 8 a.m. and departs at 4:30 p.m. Contact the driver Terri King

Triangle Bicycle and Pedestrian Workshop 

Come out to the seventh annual Triangle Bicycle & Pedestrian Workshop on Fri., April 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cary Arts Center! Learn about the latest developments in bicycle and pedestrian transportation within the Triangle.

After the workshop, attendees will have the option of going to lunch at a local restaurant (at your cost) and taking a walking tour of downtown Cary or going on a group bicycle tour (bring your own bike and helmet). Register here!

New Fixit Station

There is a new bike pump and Fixit station at Open Eye Cafe! Come to the ribbon cutting on April 12 from 6-7 p.m. There will be free refreshments, a fix-a-flat demo, and prizes.  

Confident Cycling for Women

Are you a woman who knows how to ride a bike but you're not comfortable riding on the road? Register for this workshop, to be held at Carrboro Century Center on Sat., April 22 from 8:30-4 and get some tips from a certified instructor. See flyer here

Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill Meeting

The Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill (BACH) will be meeting Wed., April 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe. Meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Carrboro Bicycle Coalition Meeting

The Carrboro Bicycle Coalition will meet Wed., April 12 at 7 p.m. in the back room of the Open Eye Cafe after the Fixit Station ribbon cutting. The next meeting is May 10. Sign up to volunteer at the bike blender at Open Streets on April 9!
