Been wishing for rain for weeks ...
then tornado warnings dropped by.
Be very careful what you wish for.
Don't you just love fall?
Oh well, let's just talk about fiber things!
Kim Dyes Yarn's monthly selections have arrived ~ Pottery Glaze and Cobalt (and oh my goodness, these are both gorgeous, but that Cobalt!) As per usual, these are on Kim's Sourdough Sock base: 80/20 Superwash Merino/Nylon, 400 yards, $30 per skein. Wonderful yarn.

Coming attraction from KDY? Equally as lovely ... Hunter and Golden Hour. "Like an evergreen tree, Hunter is a mix of deep layered greens, while Golden Hour is reminiscent of the colors and the light of the autumn season." Same Sourdough Sock base, same yardage, same price. These colors are so very rich (Hunter at first glance appears black, it is actually layers of greens that fade to black ... just beautiful!)
From Wonderland Yarns/Frabjous Fibers ... these are in the shop! We've been sworn to secrecy until October 15 as to posting colorways, but they are available for purchase NOW! These collections are always so much fun, because frankly we don't know what we're ordering. We have (in limited quantities) MaryAnn Fingering weight in four spooky colors (85% SW Merino, 15% Nylon; 475 yards; $30/skein) and Blossoms, hauntingly beautiful handpainted gradients that run grays to greens to purples (80% SW Merino, 20% Nylon; 475 yards; $38/cake). Come & get 'em while we've got 'em (and please don't post your colors before Saturday)!
We've restocked a few accessories & notions from NNK ... this just might be the most gorgeous shawl pin we've seen in a long time, plus holding a lovely stitch marker (and yes, I just might have one ... either on a shop model or fastening my wrap)! These little copper plated snips are precious, plus the fact that her winter stitch markers just hold my heart (East Tennessee mountain girl that I am!)
Last Thursday, we hosted a cast-on for WestKnits latest adventure, Twists & Turns. We had a great time with 'show & tell', pizzas & salads & beverages & desserts (OMG that cookie dough thing), a little dose of puppy love! Not much knitting going on!

We had such a good time, we are 'reinstating' our fiber night ... every Third Thursday at SkyKing, beginning at 5. Most of you are aware that during the onslaught of the COVID spread, we took out our space for Knit Night in the shop ... and filled it with more delicious inventory! Why not move it on down the street to our neighbors at SkyKing?

So ... going forward, we'll be open at the shop from 10-5 on every third Thursday of each month beginning next Thursday, October 20, then we'll just move on down for Fiber Night at SkyKing! Who's coming? And no, this is not project specific. Didn't buy your fiber from Ewe & Company? Not a problem, just sharing fiber love. And please tell the others!

Yours in yarn,
Ewe & Company
